Victoria Olson Art – Watercolor, Egg Tempera & Oil

Palacio de Cristal is located in Retiro Park in Madrid. It was built by Ricardo Velázquez Bosco in 1887 for the Philippines Exposition. This Victorian example of the so called iron architectures is said to be one of the finest glass and iron buildings in Madrid. The Crystal Palace is indeed beautiful; I never get tired of painting it. I love the way the background colors of the sky and foliage can be seen through the glass.
