Victoria Olson Art – Watercolor, Egg Tempera & Oil

I call these pocket paintings because visitors who come to the Plaza say things like… “I don’t need a bag, I’ll just put it in my pocket.” or “It has to fit in my pocket.” Some visitors who come to my stand are studying in Madrid and want to take a bit of Madrid home with them. Although this isn’t a painting of Madrid, it is one of my favorite places in Spain. It’s Andalucia. I have a lot of good memories in the south of Spain. Also, the little pueblos blancos are so picturesque. I love to paint the bougainvillea against the white wall.
