Victoria Olson Art – Watercolor, Egg Tempera & Oil

This is a tiny watercolor I made of Monument to Alfonso XII -Part of the Landscape of Light UNESCO collection in Madrid, Spain.

This beautiful monument is located in Retiro Park. It is composed of a semicircle of two Ionic order colonnades with an equestrian statue of King Alfonso XII on top center.

Alfonso XII was King of Spain from 1874 to 1885. He was the son of Queen Isabella II. His reign was known as the Restauration, a very interesting read.
