Trying to get away from the heat here in Madrid, we went to Cercedilla.

By the time we got to the top of the hill, we had to look for a shady place and wait for it to cool off.

This is the view I had for the next three hours. We were sitting in the shade behind a huge group of boulders.

Precioso paísaje. How did you paint in such extreme heat. How do you carry your water, etc. I love the narrative which accompanies the pieces.

Hi Penelope. Thanks! In the summer it’s really hot, so I find shade ,wear a hat and use 50 sunscreen on arms and legs. I bring a large bottle of drinking water. 3/4 Is for drinking. If I run out of water I have to pick up and go or get more water. 🙂
